The Kindness Project with Kate Oliver from Passing Clouds

Liv and Kate worked with the wonderful team at Albert Park Primary School (APPS) to design and deliver a project to teach the children mindfulness and kindness.

Based on the songs from Kate’s album, Passing Clouds - Mindfulness Songs for Kids and their grown-ups, The Kindness Project program consists of: tailored curriculum for teachers to use in the classroom over the 8 week period of the project, staff training session, parent information session, 2 x Workshops/Performances for the whole school, a “Kindness Tool Kit" hand-out for parents and teachers and an activity sheet for children to complete in the classroom to review and refresh on the content of the program.

The whole of the APPS community have benefited from this wonderful project.

Smiling Mind Product Development and Workshop Delivery

Liv worked with Smiling Mind to develop both the content for the app component of the Corporate Program, which includes guided meditations and instructional videos and tailored workshops to be delivered face-to-face. Furthermore, she travelled around Australia delivering workshops within workplaces and schools. She also worked with a team to develop “Mind the Bump”, a collaboration between Beyond Blue and Smiling Mind, targeting mental health for new and expecting parents.

Testimonial

“I worked closely with Liv during my time as Education Manager at Smiling Mind. Liv delivered presentations weekly for me and was always my first preference as a facilitator. Having the experience as a psychologist was important to clients, however the life experience and holistic and practical approach Liv has to mindfulness and meditation highlighted the benefits her presentations provided to organisations. Liv travelled interstate often and used this opportunity to deliver her knowledge to often large and intimidating audiences. Her ability to manage questions and engage with the audience in a gentle and professional manner is one of the reasons Liv was always requested to return to deliver ongoing presentations. I think Liv is one of the most experienced mindfulness facilitators with a presence that is easy to relate to and the skills she teaches are easily translated into our everyday lives. She will empower you, motivate you and leave you feeling so good about yourself which to me is a very unique skill that comes naturally to Liv.”

Channel 9 News for Smiling Mind

Corporate Dojo with Ticker TV

In 2020, Liv was the resident psychologist on Karen Gately’s from Corporate Dojo TV show “Black Belt Leader” on Ticker TV. Every month, Liv was interviewed about her thoughts around a particular topic ranging from mindfulness in the workplace to psychometric assessment. Each month, Liv was put on the spot to answer a "WTF at work?” question, where an audience member would ask a random question about a strange situation they had encountered in the workplace - needless to say there was a lot of laughter in this section! Karen and Maddie then invited Liv to be their first guest on their new podcast “Work Savvy” - you can go to their website https://www.corporatedojo.com/ and sign up to listen.
